What HiveHub is
Find agents, views, widgets and tools other people made, see what each one asks for, and install it with every file checked.
HiveHub is where Hivemind's agents, views, widgets and tools are listed. You find one there, read what it does and what it asks for, and install it from Settings → Plugins. The files stay in the author's GitHub repository. HiveHub keeps where they are and a hash of each one.
You can browse it on the web at hivehub.griiken.workers.dev.
Paste this into your coding agent to look up a plugin on HiveHub and see what it would add, without installing it.
Show the prompt
Look up a Hivemind plugin on HiveHub for me. Do not install anything. 1. Get the `hivehub` command if `command -v hivehub` finds nothing: `curl -fsSL https://hivehub.griiken.workers.dev/hivehub.mjs -o ~/.local/bin/hivehub && chmod +x ~/.local/bin/hivehub`. It needs Node 20 or newer. 2. Run `hivehub search` with a few words for what I want. Add `--type agent`, `view`, `widget` or `tool` if I named a kind. 3. Run `hivehub info <id>` on the best match, with the id `hivehub search` printed. 4. Tell me its kind, version, who published it, the GitHub repository and commit its files come from, and every line under "does": what it asks for. At the end, tell me to install it from Settings → Plugins, on the HiveHub tab, where Hivemind shows the same review before it adds anything. REFERENCE https://hivemind.griiken.com/guide/hivehub.md
- Your repository → HiveHub: when you publish, HiveHub reads your repository at one commit and lists each file's path with its SHA-256 hash.
- HiveHub → Hivemind: the listing, with that commit and those hashes.
- Your repository → Hivemind: the files, downloaded from that commit. Hivemind checks each one against its hash.
- A file that does not match its hash stops the install, and nothing is added.
What a listing holds
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Id | The name it installs by. A view or widget is @owner/name, a tool is owner/name, an agent is one name such as gemini. |
| Kind | Agent, view, widget or tool. |
| Name and one line | What the card shows. The author writes the line when publishing. |
| Version | From the manifest. Hivemind offers an update when a newer one is listed. |
| Repository and commit | The GitHub repository and the exact commit the files come from. |
| Files | Every file's path in the folder, with its SHA-256 hash. |
| Manifest | The plugin's own file (agent.yaml, hivemind-view.json, widget.json or hivemind-tool.json), as published. |
| README | The folder's README.md, shown as text and never run. |
| What it asks for | Read from the manifest, in the words Hivemind shows before it installs. |
| Category | Where it is grouped, here and in Hivemind. |
| Published by | The GitHub account that published it. |
| Installs | How many times it was installed. |
Files stay in the author's repository
HiveHub never holds a plugin's files. It holds the commit and a hash of every file. When you
install, Hivemind downloads each file from the author's repository at that commit and checks it
against its hash. If any file changed after it was listed, the install stops with
<file> does not match the catalog: it changed after it was listed, and nothing is added.
A commit cannot change, so what you review is what you get. The list itself is not signed, so install only what you trust. What HiveHub learns when you install: Trust, permissions and privacy.
Install from HiveHub
Find it
Open Settings → Plugins and choose the HiveHub tab. Search, or pick a kind. Plugins are grouped by category, 25 at a time: Show more lists the next ones.
Or search in the Add menu (the toolbar's Add, a frame's menu or the Layers panel): tools and widgets you have not installed are listed under From HiveHub, each with Install. If HiveHub cannot be reached, the menu says so and still lists what you have.
Review it
Press Install. Hivemind downloads the files and checks each against its hash. Then, before anything is added, it shows what the plugin adds and what it asks for, read from its manifest. For an agent, it shows the command each launch runs. If the plugin needs a newer Hivemind, it says so here and downloads nothing.
Install it
Press Install again, or Cancel.
Check: it says the plugin is installed, with Open its page (or Use this view).
- Search finds every word you type, in any order, at the start of a word of the plugin's name,
id, category or description:
git prfinds Pull requests. The closest match is first. HiveHub's site, the app andhive plugins searchfind the same plugins. - A tool arrives switched off, and so does every update to one. In the Add menu it shows Installed, switched off with Switch on…, which opens its page; once on, add it from the menu. It runs inside Hivemind with your access, so switch it on from its page once you trust who wrote it. Why: Tools start switched off.
- Views, widgets and tools are installed only when you choose them. Only agents are added on
their own: when Hivemind finds an agent's program on your
PATH, it adds that agent and shows a notice of what it can do. Switch off Add agents found on this machine to stop it. - Each plugin's page has Read me and What it can do, and says who published it.
- From a terminal, each kind has its own command: widgets, views, tools and agents.
Categories
Every view, widget and tool says what it is for in its manifest's category field. Hivemind's
Add menu and Settings → Plugins group them by it, and so does HiveHub. A manifest without
one is other. Agents are always Agents.

A value not on this list is refused, by HiveHub when you publish and by Hivemind when it loads.
