> Which systems Hivemind runs on, and what each one gets: the app, the hive command, or both.

The systems each release is built for, and what you get on each.

<AgentPrompt description="Paste this into your coding agent to check whether this computer can run Hivemind." page="system-requirements">{`
Using the table on this page, check whether this computer can run Hivemind, and what it would get.

1. Find the operating system, its version and the CPU type (\`uname -sm\` and \`sw_vers\` on macOS; \`[System.Environment]::OSVersion\` and \`$env:PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE\` on Windows).
2. Check \`curl\` and \`bash\` exist on Linux and macOS, or the PowerShell version on Windows.
3. List which coding-agent programs are on PATH, for example \`command -v claude codex opencode\`.
4. Tell me what this computer gets (the app, or only the hive command), anything missing, and the install command to run. Do not install anything.
`}</AgentPrompt>

| System | You get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Linux x86_64 | the app, `hive` and `hive-net` | The installer unpacks the app, so it needs no `libfuse2`. |
| macOS on Apple Silicon | the app, `hive` and `hive-net` | macOS 13 or later. The app is not signed by Apple; the installer clears the quarantine mark. |
| Windows x64 | the app, `hive` and `hive-net` | Built and checked automatically for each release, but not yet tested on real hardware. [Report what breaks](https://github.com/dip497/hivemind/issues). |
| Linux arm64 | `hive` and `hive-net` only | No app. Use it as a [machine](https://hivemind.griiken.com/guide/machines/) that another computer drives. |
| macOS on Intel | nothing prebuilt | Build from source with `bash install.sh --dev`. |

## What else you need [#what-else-you-need]

- **To install:** `curl` and `bash` on Linux and macOS, or PowerShell 5.1 or newer on Windows.
- **To run agents:** each coding agent's own program, such as `claude` or `codex`, on your `PATH`. No agent ships in the app.
- **To build from source:** git, node 22 or newer, pnpm 12 or newer, and bun.
- **To reach other machines:** `ssh`, with access to each machine.
- **For your phone, or devices on other networks:** your own [network server](https://hivemind.griiken.com/guide/self-hosting/).
